The exhibition, Mind of Its Own (2020), is an installation that explores the concept of an ephemeral and continuous exhibition and the power of censorship in the Contemporary age. The recent weeks of university strikes gave me the opportunity, as a student, to create a long-haul exhibition at the University of Brighton. This allowed me to observe how the Insitu-Paintings deteriorate and change over a long period of time. I discovered that the underlayers of ink marks seep through the domestic paint gradually as it dries; revealing some of the feminist rants underneath. The outcomes are always hard to predict.
